About the Journal

Aim and Scope

Computing and applied sciences (chemistry, physics, mathematics, biological sciences). Submissions covering interdisciplinary researches in basic and applied sciences with potentials for societal impact are encouraged.

Types of Submissions

Communication, full length original research papers, editorials (by invitations only), policy highlights/briefs (short communication from government or industry experts), and reviews.

Manuscript Preparation

There is no discrimination on the type of English adopted, but there should be consistency. Authors are encouraged to use SI unit system and be consistent throughout the texts. Trade names of chemicals should be accompanied with their IUPAC nomenclature (at least at first mention). At present, only MS Word files (.doc or .docx) are acceptable. Authors should ensure that mathematical equations and formulas are editable.

Manuscript Outline

Authors are free to adopt suitable outlines for reviews and policy highlights. Sections should be numbered. For original research papers, the following main sections should be included:

Title page: The title page should have the title of the manuscript, names and affiliations of the authors as well as the contacts (email, phone, fax, postal addresses, etc.) of the corresponding author. 

Title: Titles of manuscripts should be concise and meaningful. Titles should be limited to a maximum of 20 words and should give an overall description of the content of the manuscript. Titles should be in bold sentence case.
Abstract: Abstracts should be limited to 200 words for original research papers and 250 words for review papers.
Keywords: Keywords should be limited to 5 words or phrases, separated with semicolon.
Introduction: There is no limit to the length of the introductory section. However, it should provide background of the study and concludes with the objectives addressed in the manuscript.
Materials and Method: Details of the materials, equipment and methods used should be
described in the Materials and Method section.
Results and Discussion: Here, the findings of the work should be presented in form of figures and tables and discussed.
Conclusion: In this section, the authors should conclude the findings based on the objectives and results obtained from the study.

References: The IEEE referencing style should be used. Authors are encouraged to provide DOIs of published papers and use referencing software applications such as EndNote, Mendeley or Zotero. For webpage resources, complete URL and current date of access must be provided.

Conflict of interests’ statement: Authors must declare personal, financial relationships,
circumstances or interests that may be perceived to affect the representation or interpretation findings presented.

Funding information: Authors must provide funding information where applicable. Where there were no funding for the work, authors should write "None."
Acknowledgements: Contributors, collaborators and assistnce from external organizations should be acknowledged.

Publication Charges

As Computing and Applied Sciences Impact is an open access journal, all accepted manuscripts are subject to an article processing charge (APC). Fees are only payable after the manuscript has been accepted for publication. At present, all submissions accepted after peer-review will be published without APC


Peer Review Policy

Single-blind peer review process is adopted. Authors are encouraged to suggest at least 5 reviewers in the cover letter during submission. All suitable research papers are subjected to sufficient number of expert reviews. Before manuscripts are sent out to reviewers, Editors have the responsibility to check for suitability of such papers for publication in the journal. At the discretion of the Editors, unsuitable manuscripts may be desk-rejected without peer-review.


Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism detection software applications may be used to screen submissions. If plagiarism is detected, the journal may reject such submissions without peer-review.
